How to recognize generations for TEHA and STYRKA engines

The TEHA range (410 and Connect) as well as the STYRKA 310 motorizations have existed for two different generations. The electronic boards and electric motors are different and must be adapted to the version. In this tutorial, we will explain how to precisely identify the version of your motorization.

This tutorial is applicable for:

Difficulté : Easy
Temps nécessaire : 2 minutes
Nombre d’étapes : 2
Mise à jour : October 2025

Materials needed:

Tutorial steps:

Method 1 Visual identification of the electric motor

To quickly access the electric motor and check its version, follow these steps

Remove rubbers

Using a pair of pliers or a small flathead screwdriver, remove the 4 rubber covers from the motor’s rear forks.

Remove fixing screws

Using a BTR tool (4mm), unscrew and remove the 4 screws holding the rear fork to the motor.

Visual identification V1

Swivel the fork slightly, and observe the rear face of the electric motor.

If the electric motor leads exit directly from the motor, this is the V1 (see photo).

V2 visual identification

Swivel the fork slightly, and look at the rear of the electric motor.

If the electric motor wires are on terminal lugs, this is the V2 (see photo).

Method 2 LED on board

It is possible to find out the version of the electronic board by performing a manipulation during its electrical start-up.

Power down the board

Disconnect your transformer from the board (blue wires with white connector), and wait for it to switch off completely.

Ask for your software version à la carte

While holding down the OK button, reconnect the transformer to the board.

Look at the indicators

The card will then display a red light.

Refer to the table opposite to find out whether the motorization is 1st or 2nd generation.

Restart the card

To return the board to its standard state, disconnect the transformer from the board again (blue wires with white connector). Wait a few seconds, then restart the board without touching the buttons.

Version 2 exclusives

The commercial references for the engines listed below have only one generation and are exclusively V2.
