3CX Video Conference

This tutorial will show you how to use the 3CX Conference application, which will enable you to have a video call with a technician as part of your technical support. This is an official application. Our technical support team uses the 3CX solution to manage hotline calls. We strongly recommend that you download and install the application before making a phone call to our technical support team. During video conferencing, your smartphone must have a good WIFI or DATA (4G/5G) connection.

This tutorial is applicable for:

Video troubleshooting with after-sales service
Difficulté : Easy
Temps nécessaire : 5 minutes
Nombre d’étapes : 3
Mise à jour : February 2025

Materials needed:

Android or IOS smartphone

Tutorial steps:

Step1: Download the application

Go to your smartphone’s PlayStore or Appstore

Download and install the 3CX Video Conference application published by 3CX.

Step1: Download the application on Android

ANDROID. To find it easily, click on this link: https: //play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tcx.webmeeting&hl=en

Step 1: Download the application on IOS

IPHONE: To find it easily, click on this link: https: //apps.apple.com/us/app/3cx-video-conference/id1039756959

Caution!

Don’t confuse the 3CX Video Conference application with the 3CX application, which won’t let you take video.

Caution!

Remember to grant the necessary authorizations for the application to function properly.

Step 2: Receive an e-mail

During the phone call to our technical support team, the technician will ask you for your e-mail address, so that he can send you a link to join the videoconference.

Step 3: Join the videoconference

Click on the link in the e-mail. Your smartphone may ask you to choose an Internet browser. It doesn’t matter which one you choose.

Step 3: Join the videoconference

You will then be taken to a web page offering you the option of installing 3CX Video Conference or joining the meeting.

If you have successfully installed the application, click on “Yes, let’s join”.

Step 3: Join the videoconference

The meeting URL is automatically filled in.

Remove Guest and insert your name instead, so that the technician can correctly identify the connection request.

Check that the microphone and camera icons are activated.

Then click on Request connection.

Step 3: Join the videoconference

The technician receives a notification and authorizes you to connect to the meeting.

The video stream of what you’re filming opens on your smartphone.

In-app settings: Choose the camera on your smartphone

By default, the camera used by the application to broadcast the video stream to the technician will be your selfie camera (on the same side of the screen).

For ease of use, we recommend choosing your smartphone’s front camera.

To select this camera, press once on the screen. The settings page opens. Click on the icon at the top right to toggle the camera.

In-app settings: Mute sound from your smartphone

If at any point you want to say something that the technician doesn’t need to hear, set the application to silent mode.

Click on the microphone icon at bottom right to activate this mode. Click the icon again to reactivate your microphone.

Application settings: Exit settings

To leave the settings page and watch the video of what you’re filming in full size on your smartphone, press the banner on the left of your screen.

Ending the conversation

To exit the videoconference, click on the red telephone.
