Tutorial steps:

Step 1: Preparing your smartphone

  • Download the AVIDSEN HOME application on your Android or IOS smartphone.
  • Before launching the application, make sure your smartphone is connected to the 2.4Ghz wifi network of your Internet box. (For more information, please contact your internet service provider).
  • In the case of a new installation, be sure to grant the authorizations required by the application, in particular location and camera.

Step 2: Connecting the thermostat

  • Launch the AVIDSEN HOME application

  • Press for 5 seconds to enter the thermostat setting.
  • Make sure COFI is displayed on the screen.
  • Press for 3 seconds to start Wifi association.
  • A Wifi icon should flash.
  • Select AP Mode by pressing “AP Mode”.
  • Confirm “Wifi logo should flash”.
  • Click on “Next
  • This message will prompt you to connect your smartphone to your thermostat.
  • Click on “Connect Now”.
  • Your smartphone will automatically open its Wifi settings
  • Your smartphone must detect a Wifi transmitter named SmartLife – XXXX

In our example, the thermostat is called Smartlife-61B9

  • Select your thermostat.
  • Special case IOS.
  • If you’re using an IPhone, please deactivate “cellular data” temporarily and set “never” to “auto connect to shares”.
  • You can reactivate these functions once your thermostat is online.
  • Android special case
  • On some Android interfaces, it may be necessary to temporarily deactivate “mobile data” and “switch to better WiFi networks”.
  • You can reactivate these functions once your thermostat is online.
  • An error message may appear informing you that the thermostat has no Internet connection. This error message is normal.
  • Force the connection and make sure your smartphone is connected to the SmartLife thermostat – XXXX
  • Return to the AvidsenHome application.
  • Your smartphone will send Wifi information to your thermostat, then scan your local network to find it.
  • If your smartphone hasn’t found the thermostat by the end of the countdown, make sure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4Ghz Wifi network, then restart the procedure.

Step 3: Finalize connection

  • Once your thermostat is online, it will exit its COFI menu and automatically return to the main screen.
  • On the smartphone, this window should appear.
  • You can change the device name in the application by clicking on .
  • Press “Done”.
  • Press your videophone to view and program it.
