Programming Philips Welcome eye badges

If you're having trouble associating your badges, here's a step-by-step tutorial.

This tutorial is applicable for:

Philips - 531001 - WelcomeEye Touch, Philips - 531002 - WelcomeEye Connect, Philips - 531036 - WelcomeEye Connect 2
Difficulté : Easy
Temps nécessaire : 10 minutes
Nombre d’étapes : 5
Mise à jour : February 2025

Tutorial steps:

Step 1: Preparing the intercom panel

  • The reset button is located behind the intercom panel, so you will need to disassemble it.
  • To work safely, first unplug the AC adapter from your indoor display.
  • Remove the front panel of your intercom panel.
  • Then remove the 2 screws holding it to the wall:
  • Carefully remove the intercom panel from the wall and ensure that the BUS1 and BUS2 wires are still connected.
  • Reconnect the monitor to the mains and wait for it to start up.
  • Make sure that when a badge (of any color) passes in front of the reader, the intercom panel beeps or double-beeps.

Step 2: Programming badges

Make sure you have all the badges close by so you can program them.

  • In the case of a new badge installation, please turn over intercom panel and press the RESET button on the back of intercom panel for 5 seconds.
  • The intercom panel will emit 6 short beeps

Reminder: A badge must be swiped within 10 seconds of a previous badge. Otherwise, intercom panel will exit programming mode.

If, during the procedure, a badge emits 2 short beeps sounds, this means that intercom panel has exited its programming mode. Please repeat the procedure.

Pass the badges in the following order.

  • Yellow badge: the intercom panel emits 1 short beep
  • Blue badge: intercom panel emits 1 short beep
  • Red badge: the intercom panel emits 1 long
  • Blue badge: the intercom panel emits 4 short beeps
  • Grey badge 1: intercom panel emits 1 short beep
  • Grey badge 2: intercom panel emits 1 short beep
  • Wait 10 seconds: intercom panel emits a long beep

Programming is now complete. Only the grey badges (users) can be used to operate your strike or gate.

Step 3: Ordering electric strike plate

  • Pass one of the grey badges briefly in front of intercom panel.
  • The intercom panel will emit a short beep and power will be supplied to the electric strike plate via terminals 7 and 8 of the intercom panel.

Step 4: Motorization dry contact control

  • Pass one of the gray badges in front of intercom panel and leave it there for 3 seconds.
  • The intercom panel will emit a first beep and 2 beeps after 3 seconds.
  • The dry contact command for the motorization is made on terminals 5 and 6 of intercom panel (a small click will be heard on intercom panel).

Step 5: Reinstalling the system intercom panel

  • Reinstall the intercom panel on your wall in the reverse order of disassembly.
  • Don’t forget to reinstall the silicon seal to waterproof the rear of your intercom panel.

Bonus step: Add badge

This procedure is only valid if administrator badges have been programmed. If this is not the case, please repeat the procedure from Step 1.

If, during the procedure, a badge emits 2 short beeps sounds, this means that intercom panel has exited its programming mode. Please repeat the procedure.

Pass the badges in the following order.

  • Blue badge: the intercom panel emits 4 short beeps
  • Grey badge: intercom panel emits 1 short beep
  • Wait 10 seconds: intercom panel emits a long beep

Bonus step: Delete a badge

This procedure is only valid if the administrator badges have been programmed and you have the user badge to be deleted. If this is not the case, please repeat the procedure from Step 1.

If, during the procedure, a badge emits 2 short beeps sounds, this means that intercom panel has exited its programming mode. Please repeat the procedure.

  • Grey badge to be deleted: intercom panel emits 1 short beep
  • Wait 10 seconds: intercom panel emits a long beep
