  5. Guide to good practice in the use of solar panels

GUIDE TO GOOD PRACTICE IN THE USE OF YOUR SOLAR-POWERED PRODUCTS

  • Please follow the installation instructions at instructions.
  • Do not use multi-socket outlets. Plug your panels into a standard 230V 2P+T =2-pole + earth socket protected by a 30mA/16-amp differential current device. NFC 15-100 standard.

INSTALLATION

  • If you’re adding an extension cord, make sure it complies with CE standards and is designed for outdoor use. We recommend adding a watertight box for the connections.

  • Avoid installing your solar panels in high-traffic areas. Do not install on a roof, as there is a risk of falling and serious injury.

  • Be sure to weight the products according to the instructions indicated. Install your  panelsin a place protected from any external aggression (projection  pebblesfollowing lawn mowing, brushcutter, balloons, trees, animals…).

  • Do not install solar panels in a flood flood zone.

  • In hot, sunny weather, the panels can become hot, posing a risk of burns. Likewise, avoid tall, dry grass near the panels to limit the risk of fire.

  • Before starting your installation, you must inform your distribution network operator.

  • Depending on the type of installation you wish to make, check with your local council to see if any formalities are required.

  • If your solar equipment exceeds a total of 3,000 W, a Consuel certificate is required. Please contact your grid operator and an electrician to find out how.
