Replacing the EXTEL COMPACT video circuit board

Your EXTEL COMPACT screen no longer displays an image, and the screen remains blue. You will need to replace the video circuit board on intercom panel. Here's a tutorial on how to replace it. Important : Before carrying out any work or maintenance, please switch off all components of your video door entry system and place yourself on a suitable surface to avoid scratching the lens.

Materials needed:

Phillips screwdriver, plastic spatula, precision pliers

Tutorial steps:

Step 1: Location of screws

Turn the intercom panel
Unscrew the 6 Phillips screws using the screwdriver

Step 2: Opening the door station

Use the plastic spatula to pry off the rear panel and lift it gently.

Step 3: Disconnect the video circuit board

Remove the connector from the video PCB using the precision pliers. Be careful not to pull on the cables

Step 4: Remove the rear panel

Rotate the rear panel of the intercom panel by 180°.
Remove the Infrared LED connector using the precision pliers. Be careful not to pull on the cables

Step 5: Remove the infrared module

Unscrew the two Phillips screws on the infrared module using a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the infrared module

Step 6: Remove the video circuit board

Unscrew the 4 Phillips screws on the video module using a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the video module

Step 7: Reinstall the video circuit board

Replace the new video module. Pay attention to the direction of insertion (make sure the tube is at the top).
A cover may be present on the lens.
Check cable routing. The video module cable must exit on the right.

Step 8: Attach the video circuit board

Screw back the 4 Phillips screws on the video module

Step 9: Reinstall the infrared module

Reposition the infrared module
Check cable routing. The infrared module cable must exit on the left.

Step 10: Connect the infrared module

Reconnect the infrared module; the connector has a coded pin.

Step 11: Connect the video circuit board

Reconnect the video circuit board; the connector is fitted with a coding pin.

Stage 12: Finalization

Close rear bracket Be careful not to pinch or damage wires.
Tighten the 6 Phillips screws.
The replacement is complete.
